Production Begins in Seattle
Things are moving quickly behind the scenes at Song of Sunset.
Next week, our team travels to Seattle to begin production on the second of two short documentaries that will premiere during Song of Sunset: Underground this October in Bend. While we're not quite ready to reveal all the details, we can say that filming will take place inside one of America's most influential music recording studios; a place that helped shape the sound and culture of the Pacific Northwest.
Over the past several weeks, we've been conducting research, developing storylines, and building relationships with the people connected to this remarkable chapter of music history. What we're uncovering is exactly the kind of story Song of Sunset was created to preserve: a story about vision, creativity, community, and the places where culture quietly takes root before changing the world.
Meanwhile, tickets for our Friday night kickoff event, The Underground Speakeasy, are moving quickly.
The evening will feature a special presentation connected to our short documentary Cosmic Heirloom: Buried 400 Years, along with live music, community gathering, and a unique opportunity to connect with fellow travelers, music lovers, and storytellers before the main event on Saturday.
We're also continuing our regional campaign across Oregon and Washington, inviting people to discover Bend through music, film, culture, and community.
As part of the campaign, anyone can register for free for a chance to win a Gretsch hollow-body guitar donated by Ghost of Brian Craig. Registration takes just a minute and helps support our effort to bring visitors from across the Pacific Northwest to experience Song of Sunset this October.
The stories are getting bigger. The community is growing. And we're just getting started.
See you this October in Bend.
