The centerpiece of the evening is the screening of the award-winning feature-length documentary Song of Sunset. Set in the year 2175, the film unfolds through the voice of a holographic archivist who recounts how society is emerging from a four-generation cultural ice age — triggered when Narrative Containment Ordinance 47.11 outlawed small stages and communal performance. Within the Living Archive, dedicated archivists establish learning centers designed to help communities rediscover the power of shared song and story.
