Our Films for the evening
Go beneath the surface with Salvaged Reverb, an exploration of the legendary Robert Lang Studios, and Cosmic Heirloom: Buried 400 Years, the award-winning short film uncovering the suppressed history of psilocybin. We’ll also revisit Song of Sunset: In My Day, the award-winning film that started it all, and screen a powerful self-produced short documentary featuring Warm Springs hip-hop artist Sho Rilla. Both will be followed by a panel discussion presented by Oregon Film

Six Eyed Cat
Joe Estrada, otherwise known as the 'Six Eyed Cat' for reasons unknown to any living mortal being, tends to show up with an acoustic guitar and a confused yet energetic mix of punk songs that sound like country songs that wish they were bluegrass songs. Never looking to the play the same show twice, he often brings along a group of friends and musical cohorts to share songs & stories so that you never fully know what's in store from one show to the next.

Ghost of Brian Craig is a Bend, Oregon-based singer-songwriter, filmmaker, and storyteller whose work explores music, culture, and human connection. Blending acoustic rock, harmonica, and live looping, he is also the creator and host of Song of Sunset, an award-winning live cinema experience that brings together original films, intimate performances, and meaningful conversation.

Sho Rilla is a Pacific Northwest Native hip-hop artist known for culturally grounded, emotionally reflective music rooted in lived experience. Raised in Warm Springs, Oregon, he began writing at sixteen after witnessing the impact of addiction and generational trauma within his community.
Since performing his first show in 2022, Sho Rilla has built his career independently — touring regionally and opening for artists including DJ Yella (NWA), Masta Killa (Wu-Tang Clan), Stella Standingbear, and The Neighborhood Kids.

Song of Sunset: Underground
Song of Sunset: Underground is an immersive live cinema, music, and storytelling experience that transforms Silver Moon Brewing into a fully sequenced multimedia production for one night.
Rather than a traditional film screening, the evening unfolds as one continuous experience. Original short documentaries flow into live songwriter performances, Oregon Film conversations, atmospheric video, cinematic music transitions, and immersive stage lighting—all coordinated to move the audience seamlessly from one story to the next.
The 2026 production explores hidden histories, independent creative spaces, cultural preservation, and the people who keep authentic culture alive. Featured stories include Cosmic Heirloom: Buried 400 Years, an exploration of the suppressed and rediscovered history of psilocybin; Salvaged Reverb: Inside the Legendary Robert Lang Studios, taking audiences inside the handmade Seattle studio connected to artists including Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Soundgarden; and a documentary spotlighting Warm Springs artist Sho Rilla and the personal experiences behind his music.
Between the films, the screen and stage transform for intimate live performances and conversations. Songwriter showcases are surrounded by atmospheric projections and scenic lighting, while two Oregon Film panels bring filmmakers and guests together for live discussions. The evening builds toward Sho Rilla's closing performance, a live guitar giveaway, and the show's closing celebration.
At the center of Song of Sunset is the belief that film, music and storytelling are most powerful when people experience them together—in a real room, on a real stage, surrounded by a community.

The lights go down and Song of Sunset: Underground begins with a screening of the short film Song of Sunset: In My Day before transitioning directly to our first live artist.

A short documentary exploring the suppressed and rediscovered history of psilocybin—from ancient traditions and colonial suppression to scientific research and its modern re-emergence.

Salvaged Reverb: Inside the Legendary Robert Lang Studios
Journey inside Robert Lang Studios, the extraordinary handmade Seattle recording studio connected to generations of Pacific Northwest music and artists including Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, and many others.
The film explores analog recording, unconventional creativity, and the importance of preserving the independent spaces where music history is made.

A live discussion exploring Pacific Northwest music, analog recording culture, independent creative spaces, filmmaking, and the people working to preserve places and traditions that might otherwise disappear.

The documentary transitions directly back into the live room as Sho Rilla takes the stage.
Film becomes performance as the screen transforms into an atmospheric backdrop and the portable lighting shifts from cinema into a live concert environment.
Guitar Giveaway and Closing Remarks
One registered attendee will take home the Official Song of Sunset Guitar.
The selected winner must be present to claim the prize.
Final acknowledgments and closing remarks follow as Song of Sunset: Underground comes to an end.

Song of Sunset was never meant to be a response to the traditional festival system. It is an opportunity to build something different. We are a boutique event that brings together music, history, storytelling, and community in an intimate setting designed to create meaningful connections.
It is a premium live-cinema and music experience, a touring series where original films, filmmaker conversations, and live performances become one cohesive theatrical event.
