A one-night gathering where live music, independent film, and Pacific Northwest storytelling converge through a fully produced sequence of cinematic projection, programmed lighting, live performances, and conversations with the people behind the stories.
6:30 PM — Doors Open
Grab a drink, meet fellow attendees, connect with filmmakers and musicians, explore sponsor activations, and settle in before the show begins.
7:00 PM — Welcome & Show Open
Song of Sunset: Underground begins with a screening of the short film Song of Sunset: In My Day, followed by a welcome introducing the evening’s artists, films, special guests, and the hidden stories connecting the program.
Approximately 7:15 PM — Songwriter Showcase: Joe Estrada
Bend songwriter Joe Estrada—also known as Six Eyed Cat—opens the evening with an intimate performance blending punk energy, country storytelling, and bluegrass spirit.
Cosmic Heirloom: Buried 400 Years
A short documentary exploring the forgotten history of psilocybin—from ancient traditions and cultural suppression to modern scientific rediscovery. The film follows a story that remained hidden for centuries and is now re-emerging at a pivotal moment in history.
Live Panel Presented by Oregon Film
Join the filmmakers and special guests for a conversation about history, culture, documentary storytelling, and the process of bringing overlooked stories to the screen.
Songwriter Showcase: Ghost of Brian Craig
Song of Sunset creator and host Ghost of Brian Craig performs an intimate set accompanied by cinematic projection and a sequenced lighting treatment created specifically for the live production.
