Song of Sunset Announces Musicians and Film Program for Underground
The October 24 event brings live music, original short films, and filmmaker conversations to Silver Moon Brewing in Bend
Song of Sunset has announced the performing musicians, featured films, and current panel speakers for Song of Sunset: Underground, taking place Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Silver Moon Brewing in Bend, Oregon.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show begins at 7:00 p.m. and concludes at 10:00 p.m.
This fully produced live experience brings independent film, Pacific Northwest music, and cultural storytelling together through cinematic projection, programmed lighting, live performances, and conversations with the people behind the stories.
Three Distinctive Pacific Northwest Voices
The evening’s musical lineup features three artists whose work reflects the independent creative spirit of the region.
Joe Estrada, also known as Six Eyed Cat, will open the show with an energetic blend of punk spirit, country songwriting, and bluegrass influence. The Bend-based songwriter is also the organizer of Willie Fest, an annual Central Oregon celebration inspired by the music and legacy of Willie Nelson.
Song of Sunset creator, host, and director Brian Craig Hinderberger, performing as Ghost of Brian Craig, will present an intimate acoustic-rock set featuring guitar, harmonica, looping, and personal storytelling.
Sho Rilla, a hip-hop artist and Warm Springs Tribal member, will close the evening with music shaped by Native identity, recovery, resilience, and his journey from local skater to touring performer.
Four Original Short Films
The film program begins with Cosmic Heirloom: Buried 400 Years, a short documentary uncovering the historical and scientific story of psilocybin—from ancient traditions and cultural suppression to its modern rediscovery.
Audiences will also experience Salvaged Reverb, which journeys inside Robert Lang Studios, the handmade Washington recording space connected to generations of Pacific Northwest music history. Through stories, artifacts, and firsthand accounts, the film explores how an ordinary home became an influential creative landmark.
The evening’s third film, Sho Rilla: From Local Skater to Touring Artist, follows Sho Rilla’s path from his skateboarding roots in Warm Springs to performing and touring as a hip-hop artist. The film will lead directly into Sho Rilla’s live closing performance.
Conversations Presented by Oregon Film
The evening’s panel conversations are presented by Oregon Film and moderated by director Brian Craig Hinderberger.
Following Cosmic Heirloom, featured subject David Moss, a leader in longevity technology, will expand upon the film’s exploration of psilocybin’s history, science, and cultural re-emergence.
He will be joined by Kris Solis, whose work focuses on creating positive impact through national park preservation, disaster-relief efforts, and expanding access to alternative medicine, including legal psilocybin therapy.
Panel speakers for Salvaged Reverb will be announced soon.
