Our Films Are Ready
A major piece of Song of Sunset: Underground has officially fallen into place: both of our featured short films are complete and ready for audiences.
Even before their Song of Sunset screenings this fall, the films are beginning their journey through the Pacific Northwest film-festival circuit. We’re excited to announce that Cosmic Heirloom: Buried 400 Years has been selected to screen at the Oregon Short Film Festival.
The film explores the complex history of psilocybin, from its ceremonial Indigenous roots and centuries of suppression to its reemergence in contemporary science and medicine. Its festival acceptance is an exciting first step for a project created specifically to spark deeper conversation when experienced with a live audience.
Alongside Cosmic Heirloom, we have also completed Salvaged Reverb: Inside the Legendary Robert Lang Studios, an intimate documentary portrait of the visionary builder behind one of the Pacific Northwest’s most storied recording spaces. The film is now being prepared for festival consideration and our fall screenings.
These films will anchor Song of Sunset: Underground in Bend on October 24 and Seattle on November 15, combining documentary cinema, live music, storytelling, and conversations with people connected to the subjects on screen.
