Winner in UK
We’re excited to share some incredible news — Song of Sunset has been awarded Best Web/TV Series by the London Movie Awards in the United Kingdom! 🇬🇧
This recognition is a huge milestone for our team and a beautiful affirmation of the heartfelt stories we’ve set out to tell. Song of Sunset is all about celebrating the soulful connection between local musicians, intimate venues, and the communities that keep them alive. Our premiere episode, In My Day, captures the magic of Bend, Oregon’s small-stage music scene — those moments when the sun dips low, the lights warm up, and a song can make you feel right at home.
The London Movie Awards is an international competition honoring outstanding achievements in film and television from around the globe. To have our work recognized on this stage — alongside so many talented storytellers — is both humbling and energizing.
Why this matters:
Independent music venues are more than just places to play; they are cultural lifelines, spaces where communities gather, where stories are shared, and where creativity thrives. This award not only shines a light on the importance of these spaces, but also helps fuel our mission to document and protect them.
We’re so grateful to our cast, crew, venue partners, and the Bend community for trusting us to tell this story. And a huge thank you to the London Movie Awards jury for recognizing the heart behind our work.
What’s next:
The journey for Song of Sunset is far from over. The first episode premieres locally on October 8, 2025, at Volcanic Theater Pub with a songwriter circle featuring Eric Leadbetter, Erin Cole-Baker, and Joel Chadd. From there, we’ll continue production on future episodes, bringing more voices, more venues, and more songs into the series.
Stay tuned for more festival updates, behind-the-scenes stories, and ways you can support the project.
