Stepping Back to Move Forward
I’ve decided to cancel the Indiegogo campaign for Song of Sunset. The support we’ve received through events and festival screenings has been incredible, and I felt the project was ready to open up for deeper community involvement—credits, co-producer tiers, sponsorships, and more. It turns out the timing simply wasn’t right.
While I’m disappointed, I’m not stepping away from the dream. I’m shifting focus toward grants and continuing the bootstrap approach to build a project meant to last for generations. Someone once told me, “If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.” Gathering stories is the joyful part—bringing them together into a premiere-ready film is where the real work begins.
I have one or two more interviews to capture, and then I’ll be tucking myself away in a warm room this winter to craft the next version of Song of Sunset. I’ll also be writing a few new songs to share at the March premiere.
You’re in for a real treat. The latest interviews have added an extraordinary new dimension to the story, and I can’t wait to show you where this journey is headed.
