Song of Sunset Episode 2 - Now in production

After an incredible journey wrapping up Song of Sunset: Episode 1“In My Day” — it’s so cool to announce that production is officially underway for Episode 2, titled “Greenwood Dreams.”

Last night, I was back at one of Bend’s most iconic music homes featured in Episode 1, M & J Tavern, capturing footage of Johnny Bourbon’s powerful set as he opened for the band Rust Mouth. Johnny is one of those artists who lives and breathes poetry — a lifelong musician whose roots stretch through alt-country grit and punk-rock fire. His lyrics cut deep, his voice carries years of stories, and his stage presence feels both raw and timeless.

We’ll be sitting down soon for a full interview with Johnny to explore his creative path — from early songwriting influences to what keeps him grounded in Bend’s small-stage scene today.

Next week, we’ll be announcing the full artist cast and venues for Episode 2, along with details for the premiere and songwriter-circle event. It’s shaping up to be a beautiful continuation of our mission: celebrating local musicians, community spaces, and the power of live, intimate performance.
