Get ready for a wild ride!
November is our marathon month to bring those stories to life.
Thank you all who have signed on to follow along with this project on Indiegogo. We have a super busy and exciting November is ahead as we step into full production for the next episode of Song of Sunset — Rust and Reverb. In November, we’ll be conducting all interviews with artists, venue owners, and community members.
This project is about capturing authenticity — the grit, the heart, the humor, and the history of small-stage culture here in Oregon. And November is our marathon month to bring those stories to life.
Where We’re At Now:
With incredible success of Episode 1 film and event behind us our goal now is to kick off and complete all interviews and primary filming by the end of November. With your support, we plan to hit our 2026 kick-off funding milestone, which will help cover:
Travel and production logistics
On-location recording
Artist and venue interviews
Crew time and equipment
This phase is one of my favorites which will brings us to the doorstep of post-production — where the film starts to take shape.
What Comes Next:
Once filming wraps, we move into our post-production stretch goals, which include:
Color correction & finishing
Sound mixing and design
Preparing the episode for festival submissions
Paying musicians for sync licensing of their songs used in festival and private screenings
Supporting Song of Sunset means supporting local artists, independent filmmaking, and the small-stage culture that gives communities their heartbeat.
