The Pacific Northwest Underground Is your listening room

Song of Sunset: Underground is bringing together filmmakers, musicians, storytellers, and curious minds for two nights celebrating the culture that exists beneath the surface of the Pacific Northwest.

On October 24, we're creating an intimate listening room experience and inviting a select group of solo performing musicians to share their work with an engaged audience of music lovers, filmmakers, artists, and cultural explorers.

If your music values connection over algorithms, storytelling over trends, and authenticity over noise, we'd love to hear from you.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a handful of solo performers to showcase 3–4 original songs during Song of Sunset: Underground.

We welcome artists from Bend, Oregon and beyond whose music aligns with the spirit of independent culture, creative exploration, and meaningful listening.

Genres may include:

  • Folk

  • Americana

  • Singer-songwriter

  • Indie

  • Alternative

  • Acoustic

  • Experimental

  • Other original music with a strong artistic voice

Why Apply?

  • This isn't a bar crowd talking over the music.

    It's a room intentionally designed for listening, discovery, and connection.

  • Selected artists will be featured across Song of Sunset's promotional channels throughout the Pacific Northwest, introducing your music to new audiences before and after the event.

  • All selected showcase artists will receive a small honorarium payment in recognition of their participation.

  • Song of Sunset exists to celebrate independent creators and underground culture throughout the Pacific Northwest. This is an opportunity to connect with filmmakers, artists, and fellow musicians who share that vision.

    Location: Bend, Oregon

    Format: Intimate listening room showcase

    Performance Length: 3–4 songs

    Compensation: Honorarium provided
