Join us for a one-of-a-kind evening celebrating the artistry, resilience, and community spirit of solo musicians in Oregon. Hosted in the intimate and creatively charged space of Volcanic Theatre Pub, this special event marks the world premiere of Song of Sunset — a heartfelt short documentary that blends poetic cinematography, personal storytelling, and live performance to honor the often-overlooked artists who bring music to our neighborhoods.

Directed by and narrated through the voice of Oregon musician and filmmaker Ghost of Brian Craig, the film captures golden-hour performances in locally owned venues across the state, with interviews and musical vignettes from artists who’ve made small stages their sacred ground.

Film Screening:
Experience the debut screening of Song of Sunset, set against a backdrop of sunset-drenched taverns, tap houses, and community spaces. The documentary offers a nostalgic yet forward-looking tribute to the musical soul of Oregon — where stories, songs, and place converge.

Nashville-Style Songwriter Circle:
Immediately following the film, enjoy a rare songwriter-in-the-round performance featuring four artists from the documentary:

  • Eric Leadbetter

  • Lande

  • Joel Chadd

  • Mari (of Mari & The Dream, performing solo)

  • Erin Cole-Baker

Hosted by Ghost of Brian Craig

In true Nashville tradition, these musicians will take the stage together, sharing their songs and stories in a round format that invites vulnerability, humor, and connection. It’s not just a concert — it’s a conversation in melody.

Drinks & Atmosphere:
Enjoy regional beer and wine from Volcanic’s curated tap list as you settle into a cozy setting of sofas, recliners, and candlelit tables. With state-of-the-art sound and projection, Volcanic Theatre Pub offers the perfect environment to immerse yourself in the film and music experience.

This is more than a screening — it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the enduring power of song.
